Download link for Lazy Newb Pack is here: Īs for a tutorial, I love the quickstart guide on the wiki: though there are tons of video guides on youtube as well, Kruggsmash has a good crash course if you want a shorter video. ![]() If you're interested, I'd recommend downloading the Lazy Newb Pack which has a graphics pack pre-installed (default game is ASCII which some people prefer but imo it makes it harder to learn when everything is represented by simple letters, symbols etc) as well as some other quality of life utilities built-in. ![]() But honestly, Rimworld is a more difficult game to keep your colony/fort alive, but Dwarf Fortress has far more possibilities and complexity to its world, plus having multiple z-levels/vertical levels adds a lot more options for your fort! Dwarf Fortress, the game that Rimworld took heavy inspiration from! It has a reputation for being extremely difficult to learn, but it's really just the cumbersome menu/controls that makes it a little more difficult.
